Tooth loss is common in the U.S., with more than 70 percent of adults over 40 missing one or more teeth. Missing teeth affect our ability to eat, enunciate, and smile with confidence. Tooth loss also takes a serious toll on oral health. To replace one or a few teeth, dental bridges are standard, but industry quality is highly variable. Our Windsor, CA, dental office creates meticulously crafted restorations that exceed the standard, providing an extraordinary outcome for our North Bay patients.
Dr. Patrick Seely is an accomplished restorative dentist with a reputation for excellence. If you have loose or missing teeth, or are struggling with a failing dental appliance, please contact our office today to schedule an appointment. In many cases, we can provide a beautiful custom bridge in a single appointment.
A traditional dental bridge is supported on either side by dental crowns.
Dental bridges, also called fixed partial dentures, are created to fill the gaps left by missing teeth. Made of metal and porcelain, a quality dental bridge is durable and offers a beautiful aesthetic that blends with surrounding teeth.
Replacing lost teeth is important for many reasons. Noticeable gaps in your smile naturally lead to self-consciousness. When a few teeth are missing, there is a lack of support for the cheeks and lip line, which can contribute to a sunken, aging appearance. Meanwhile, missing teeth can allow surrounding teeth to shift out of place.
If you are missing teeth, you can count on Dr. Seely to collaborate in order to restore your smile as soon as possible
We offer both traditional and implant-supported bridges. A traditional bridge is supported on either side by crowns placed on healthy adjacent teeth. While this option provides incredible stability, it cannot halt the jaw atrophy that occurs following the loss of a tooth. An implant-supported bridge, on the other hand, provides two important advantages. First, it requires no alteration of healthy teeth, instead relying entirely on a dental implant for support. Meanwhile, the implant will stop jaw atrophy, since it provides the jaw with the necessary stimulation. During your consultation, you and your dentist can discuss which option is best for you.
Restorative dentistry is a specialty of ours, developed over decades of focused clinical experience. Board certified in prothodontics, Dr. Seely is passionate about creating a transformative dental experience for his patients through custom dental bridges. Together, we can restore aesthetics, function, and health to your smile.
It can be easy to take your teeth for granted until trauma, decay, or other factors result in tooth loss. Our compassionate team understands the toll missing teeth can take on your health, appearance, and confidence. If you are missing teeth, you can count on us to collaborate in order to restore your smile as soon as possible - often in a single visit to our office.
